One of our companies is currently looking for a Technical Lead (Rust/C++) in the UK or Europe.

This role is a unique opportunity for a technically skilled leader to drive the development of high-performance trading systems in a fast-paced, innovation-driven environment. As Technical Lead, you will oversee a team of engineers and guide the architecture and delivery of scalable, low-latency platforms, primarily developed in Rust. You'll collaborate closely with cross-functional stakeholders including Product, Research, and Operations, ensuring strategic alignment and technical excellence. This position blends hands-on development with leadership, offering autonomy, impact, and continuous learning in a cutting-edge sector.

Accountabilities:

  • Lead a team of engineers building high-concurrency, low-latency trading systems.
  • Architect, implement, and optimize robust, secure software systems and development pipelines.
  • Ensure adherence to modern development practices including code reviews, testing, CI/CD, and agile delivery.
  • Partner with cross-functional teams to align engineering with product goals and market needs.
  • Stay on the pulse of emerging technologies, driving technical innovation and continuous improvement.
  • Collaborate with system architects and engineering leadership to align with the broader technical strategy.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field (or equivalent experience).
  • Proven expertise in Rust or C++ (with willingness to transition to Rust).
  • Experience building scalable, high-performance trading or real-time systems.
  • Familiarity with Node.js, Python, and real-time data pipelines is a plus.
  • Deep knowledge of AWS cloud environments, Kubernetes, and GitOps workflows.
  • Strong grasp of Agile, DevOps, CI/CD, and software architecture best practices.
  • Experience managing and mentoring engineering teams in dynamic environments.
  • Domain knowledge in financial systems or crypto trading is highly desirable.
