The Division:

The Position:
We are looking for a skilled C++ Senior Software Developer to join our development team. In this role, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining efficient and reliable C++ code. You will work closely with other developers, engineers, and stakeholders to implement high-performance applications and ensure the quality and functionality of our software solutions. The chosen individual will work out of the Contour Software Karachi/Lahore/Islamabad resource center office, as an extension of the division-based R&D department.
Responsibilities:
• Conduct in-depth analysis of existing C++ components, identifying ways to expand functionality and optimize performance.
• Reverse engineer system flows to gain deep insight into architecture and dependencies.
• Maintain and enhance codebase written in unmanaged C++ with some managed C++ components.
• Update C++ code to align with the latest C++ standards and migrate projects from to the latest version of Visual Studio.
• Develop and support database integrations, with additional support for SQL Server and Oracle 19c.
• Diagnose, troubleshoot, and resolve issues as they arise in the low-level data access layers and Boost-based components.
Qualifications:
• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, software engineering, or a related field.
• 7+ years of experience as a C++ development, particularly at the system and low-level, with experience in unmanaged and managed C++.
• Solid understanding of object-oriented programming principles.
• Good understanding of SOLID principles, Unit Testing, and Design Patterns.
• Proven experience in code analysis, reverse engineering, and legacy code upgrades.
• Strong understanding of Boost libraries and XML transformations.
• Experience with database interactions, primarily SQL Server and Oracle.
• Experience with software version control systems like Git.
• Ability to work independently, diagnose complex system behaviors, and implement reliable solutions.
• Knowledge of software development best practices, including testing, continuous integration, and Agile methodologies.
