Job Description

As a Scientific Software Developer you will be part of our Bioinformatics Team. Your projects will deal with highly sophisticated data analytics as well as algorithm development and implementation in the context of next generation sequencing – to provide solutions for our bold common goal – to make cancer history.

• With today´s progress in science and cutting-edge technology, research projects create huge amounts of data that can only help changing lives when analyzed correctly. You will deal with this and enable the generation of data for highly sophisticated visualizations.
• You will participate in improving our devices and methods, such as further development of spatial NGS – Next Generation Sequencing.
• You will design, specify, implement and integrate modern software solutions to provide our medical, clinical or research customers with state-of-the-art technology. 
• You will write software in C++ and ensure our software products meet the highest quality standards. 
• Backed up by your knowledge and experience, you contribute to continuously improve the team performance and our development processes. 

Qualifications

• You have a degree in computer science, informatics, bioinformatics, physics, mathematics or similar
• You have a good understanding of algorithms. In addition, you are well versed in C++ (preferably modern, i.e. C++17 or newer). Alternatively, you are experienced in a similar language like Java or C#
• You are thrilled to develop complex software solutions, preferably for Linux systems. Clean coding is your second nature
• You have an agile mindset, are solution-oriented and prefer working in an international environment with complex systems
• Your proficient language skills in English and preferably in German round off your profile
• Cell biology, immunology and cancer biology fascinate you
