Your work will involve improving a complex codebase, researching new code-hardening techniques, and solving challenging engineering problems where security, performance, compatibility, and binary impact all matter.

As one of our first engineers in Singapore, you will help establish and shape our local R&D presence alongside newly hired engineers and experienced colleagues relocating from our headquarters in Leuven.

Up to 50% of your role will focus on R&D Customer Support. This is not traditional helpdesk support: you will investigate, reproduce, and debug complex technical issues while working closely with customers and internal engineering teams to find robust solutions.

You will report to the local Managing Director for office-related matters and functionally to your R&D Team Lead for technical priorities, guidance, and professional development.

What You’ll Work On

Develop and improve our C++/LLVM-based products.

Research, test, and implement new functionalities and code-hardening techniques.

Work with compiler internals, LLVM tools and libraries, and complex application-processing pipelines.

Maintain and continuously improve a large, mature codebase.

Investigate, reproduce, and debug complex technical issues.

Help customers integrate and use our software successfully.

Collaborate with customers and internal R&D teams to solve challenging engineering problems.

Improve software quality through extensive testing.

Stay ahead of developments in compiler technology, mobile application security, and reverse engineering.

What You Bring

Master’s degree in Computer Science or a related field.

At least 2–3 years of relevant software engineering experience.

Excellent C++ skills.

Experience working with large or complex codebases.

Knowledge of compiler internals.

Familiarity with LLVM tools and libraries.

Experience with low-level programming and debugging.

Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

The ability to communicate complex technical topics clearly and collaborate directly with customers.

An interest in software security and reverse engineering.

Why Guardsquare?

This is not standard application development.

You will work at the intersection of compiler engineering, low-level programming, mobile security, and reverse engineering. You will solve real-world LLVM challenges, explore mobile technology stacks beyond the application layer, and help shape the products, features, and engineering practices you work with.

The technology you develop can quickly make its way into industry-leading mobile applications used by some of the world’s largest payment providers, banks, and social media companies.

We offer:

A full-time, office-based position in our new Singapore office.

Challenging engineering work at the forefront of software protection and reverse engineering.

Real-world problems that will expand your C++ and LLVM expertise.

The opportunity to help build a new R&D team from its early stages.

An international environment focused on technical ownership, collaboration, and continuous learning.

The ability to share your ideas and turn them into working solutions.

At Guardsquare, we bring together colleagues from many different backgrounds and nationalities.
