About the Role

As a Embedded Software Developer (C++), you will be responsible for designing and developing high-quality embedded software for a renowned European OEM in the automotive industry. You will join an agile Scrum team that works on innovative in-vehicle technologies, combining modern C++ development practices with robust modeling and testing methodologies.
Your work will directly contribute to next-generation automotive platforms, ensuring reliability, scalability, and performance of embedded systems that shape the future of mobility.

What You Will Do

  • Design, implement, and maintain embedded software components in C++11.
  • Participate in the definition of software architecture and detailed design using UML/SysML.
  • Collaborate closely with system and software architects to align software solutions with system requirements.
  • Develop and maintain unit tests.
  • Perform code reviews and manage repositories.
  • Work within a Scrum-based agile environment, actively contributing to sprint planning, daily stand-ups, reviews, and retrospectives.
  • Support continuous improvement of software processes, tools, and workflows.

What You Need to Be Successful

  • Proven experience in embedded software development using C++ (preferable C++11).
  • Strong understanding of object-oriented design principles and real-time embedded systems.
  • Experience in test-driven development.
  • Familiarity with Bitbucket (Git) and collaborative development practices.
  • Hands-on experience with UML/SysML for system and software modeling.
  • Ability to work effectively in agile/Scrum teams.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Good communication skills and fluency in English (spoken and written).

Bonus Points if You Have

  • Knowledge of Enterprise Architect for system and software documentation.
  • Experience working with real-time operating systems (RTOS) such as QNX.
  • Familiarity with CI/CD tools such as Jenkins, Bamboo, or GitLab CI.
  • Understanding of CAN, LIN, or Ethernet communication protocols.
  • Exposure to model-based design and requirements engineering tools.
  • Experience working in Linux-based environments or developing applications for embedded Linux systems.

What Makes You Eligible

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Electronics, Mechatronics, or related field.
  • 5+ years of professional experience in embedded software development.
  • Availability to work in an international team environment.
  • Ability to travel occasionally for business purposes.
