We are currently leading the search for an Application Support Engineer (C#) to support one of our government clients in a high-visibility, mission-driven program. Work Location: Washington, DCEmployment: Full TimeClearance: DOT Public Trust eligibility (candidates must be USC or GC holders)  We are seeking an Application Support Engineer with strong C#/.NET experience. The primary focus of this role is to maintain and support existing web applications, perform bug fixes, cybersecurity remediations, and ensure ongoing performance and compliance. The ideal candidate will also have working knowledge of AWS containerized environments, CI/CD pipelines, and familiarity with Microsoft 365 tools. This position requires a hands-on engineer who can work across front-end and back-end systems, collaborate with cross-functional teams, and provide technical support for both custom applications and Microsoft 365-based tools. Key Responsibilities:<ul><li style="font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif; font-size: 12pt;">Maintain, troubleshoot, and enhance existing C#/.NET web applications.</li><li style="font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif; font-size: 12pt;">Support full stack application functionality including front-end (React.js, HTML/CSS/JavaScript), APIs, and back-end services, including new feature development across the stack when required.</li><li style="font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif; font-size: 12pt;">Perform application security scanning and remediation in compliance with cybersecurity requirements.</li><li style="font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif; font-size: 12pt;">Support deployment in a containerized cloud environment using IaC and CI/CD processes.</li><li style="font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif; font-size: 12pt;">Provide configuration and technical oversight for Microsoft 365 tools (e.g., SharePoint, Power Apps, Access-based systems).</li><li style="font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif; font-size: 12pt;">Manage version control, configuration changes, and technical documentation.</li><li style="font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif; font-size: 12pt;">Collaborate with database administrators to ensure performance, patching, upgrades, and backups (PostgreSQL, Oracle).</li><li style="font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif; font-size: 12pt;">Participate in Agile team ceremonies, code reviews, and requirements discussions.</li></ul> Required Qualifications:<ul><li style="font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif; font-size: 12pt;">3+ years of experience in full stack development with a focus on C# and .NET.</li><li style="font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif; font-size: 12pt;">Experience with front-end development using React.js, JavaScript, TypeScript, HTML, and CSS.</li><li style="font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif; font-size: 12pt;">Understanding of containerization concepts and basic DevSecOps practices (CI/CD, Git, Kubernetes/AWS).</li><li style="font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif; font-size: 12pt;">Familiarity with Microsoft 365 applications (Access, Excel, SharePoint, Power Platform).</li><li style="font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif; font-size: 12pt;">Experience working with relational databases (PostgreSQL, Oracle, or SQL Server).</li><li style="font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif; font-size: 12pt;">Strong problem-solving skills and ability to troubleshoot technical issues across the stack.</li><li style="font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif; font-size: 12pt;">Excellent communication and collaboration skills.</li></ul> Preferred Qualifications:<ul><li style="font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif; font-size: 12pt;">Experience supporting federal or enterprise environments with security compliance requirements.</li><li style="font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif; font-size: 12pt;">Familiarity with Jira, Bitbucket, Git, and Agile workflows.</li><li style="font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif; font-size: 12pt;">Exposure to low-code/no-code platforms or commercial off-the-shelf (COTS) applications.</li><li style="font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif; font-size: 12pt;">Understanding of performance tuning, patching, and backup strategies for application and database layers.</li></ul> <hr> <div class="content-conclusion">Attain Partners is an Equal Opportunity/Affirmative Action employer.
